Greater Manchester COVID-19 vaccination sites

Travel information and advice

IMPORTANT: This information is for residents who have been invited for a COVID-19 vaccination appointment in Greater Manchester. Please do not visit or contact any of the sites below to ask for a vaccination – if you are eligible, you will be contacted by the NHS to arrange an appointment.

The map below shows COVID-19 vaccination services that are currently open in Greater Manchester. More GP clinic and hospital services are due to open soon, along with the first pharmacy pilot sites.

Information will continue to be updated as new sites are added.

Click on the map or your local area section below for advice on how you can travel to your designated vaccination clinic safely.

If you'd like more help with travel, please call TfGM Customer Relations on 0161 244 1000 and a member of our team will be happy to assist you. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 8pm and weekends 8am to 8pm.

For travel to vaccination centres where public transport is limited, the Ring & Ride accessible minibus service can offer an alternative for TfGM concessionary pass holders. Passengers can travel up to 10 miles (increased from six miles) from their home address using the service to attend their vaccination appointment. Where Ring & Ride is available, information is included in the local area pages below.

Travelling safely

If you need to use public transport to travel to your vaccination clinic:

  • You must wear a face covering, including at transport hubs and interchanges, unless you’re exempt. Read our face coverings guidance.

  • Keep your distance from other passengers where possible.

  • Clean your hands frequently and carry hand sanitiser with you.

  • If you pay for public transport, use contactless payment if you can.

If you plan to travel by car, you should avoid car sharing with people outside your household or support bubble. If this isn’t possible, you can reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission by:

  • Travelling with as few people as possible.

  • Sitting as far away as possible from other people.

  • Opening windows for ventilation.

  • Wearing a face covering and asking anyone else in the car to do the same.

If you need to use a taxi or private hire service to travel to your appointment, you must wear a face covering unless you're exempt. Please also follow the car travel guidance above.
