The £350m Greater Manchester Growth Deal was announced by the then Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg on 7 July 2014 as the Government’s response to the Greater Manchester Growth and Reform Plan, submitted by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA).
The Greater Manchester Growth Deal 1 programme has 12 major schemes, of which six are led by TfGM and the remaining six led by the relevant local authority.
