Please note that at the moment we are only running a limited programme and these sessions are not currently available

Who's it for?

This is for you if you have a basic knowledge of bike maintenance, but want to extend your skills to take on more complex tasks and save money on repairs.

Sessions are open to those over the age of 12 when accompanied by an adult or 16 when unaccompanied.

How much does it cost?

The intermediate maintenance course is provided at the subsidised cost of £25.

What you'll learn

You will learn how to:

  • Adjust your brakes.
  • Adjust and index gears.
  • Inspect and replace cables.
  • Check and maintain your chain.
  • Carry out routine servicing.

Led by a cycle maintenance expert, you'll be in a small group with others of similar experience in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. It's an intensive hands-on session which will give you the confidence and skills to keep your bike in top condition.

What you need

It's best to bring your own bike to work on, but we can lend you one if necessary.

The sessions are held across Greater Manchester.

How long?

Each session lasts six hours
