There are many reasons switching your fleet or company cars to electric makes good business sense.
Government figures revealed that businesses could save over £7,000 by switching to a pure electric vehicle.
Over the three-year cycle, company car drivers could save nearly £4,000 in Benefit in Kind rates and more than £3,000 in fuel and tax savings.
And there are savings to be made with set up costs:
Plug-in car grant: providing up to £3,500 off the price of eligible cars and up to £8,000 off the price of a new electric van.
Workplace Charging Scheme: offering a grant of up to 75% of purchase and installation costs, up to a maximum of £500 for each socket, up to a maximum of 20 across all sites for each applicant.
And of course, more electric vehicles on the road will help improve air quality, particularly in urban areas.
