The Stamford Quarter is expected to be a very popular destination in the run up to the 12 April reopening!

Please use the information below to help plan your journey, arrive at quieter periods and save time whilst looking for a parking space!

ā° Based on traffic data the busiest periods on the roads are:

šŸ”“ Weekdays From 3pm until 6pm. This will especially be the case when schools return after the Easter break.

šŸŸ  Saturday From 2pm until 5pm

šŸŸ¢ If you have to travel by car avoid these times for a quicker journey.

šŸ…æļø There is space for 620 vehicles in the Stamford Quarter car park.

āœ”ļø There may be congestion in the town centre so it could be quicker to use public transport.

āœ”ļø If your trip is short and local - walking and cycling could help beat the traffic and looking for a parking space.

Metrolink šŸšˆ

A fast and frequent tram service runs to Altrincham, connecting to Sale, Stretford, Old Trafford and Manchester City Centre.

šŸŸ¢ Metrolink services are operating every 10 minutes from 6am until 7pm Monday to Friday direct to Altrincham town centre from Manchester.

šŸŸ¢ On Saturdays, services operate every 10 minutes from 8am to 8pm and every 20 minutes until midnight.

šŸŸ¢ On Sundays, services run every 15 minutes throughout the day.

šŸšˆšŸšˆ __Most of the trams operating will be double units - Providing more capacity and space for customers. __

Stamford Quarter is just across the road from Altrincham Railway station - five minutes' walk (just cross over into Altrincham Interchange) from the stores and shops. Services connect from Manchester, Stckport, Hale and multiple stations in Cheshire.
