On Saturday 9 July, the UEFA Women's EURO 2022 group stage tie between Portugal and Switzerland takes place at Leigh Sports Village.
Kick-off for the fixture is at 5pm.

- The Leigh Guided Busway operates between Manchester City Centre and Leigh.
The nearest train stations to Leigh Sports Village are:
- Atherton (5.1 km away)
- Newton-le-Willows (9.4km away)
- Wigan Wallgate and Wigan North Western (12.7km away).
If you arrive at one of these stations, you will need to travel by bus or taxi for the rest of the journey to Leigh Sports Village.

Train tickets are available at all stations through ticket vending machines or by buying them advance via the National Rail website.
From Manchester city centre there is a direct bus service to Leigh Bus Station, with Leigh Sports Village a 15-minute walk from there.
The V1 service takes about an hour from Manchester and departs every twenty minutes from Manchester city centre.
The last bus service on the Saturday departs Leigh Bus Station at 11pm.
Matchday shuttle bus
A special Matchday shuttle bus will be in operation between Manchester and Leigh, leaving from Stand R in Piccadilly Gardens approximately four hours before the match kick-off. The service will take around 45 minutes and stop at both Leigh bus station and Leigh Sports Village.
Tickets cost £10 return and will be available to purchase online.

A free accessible shuttle bus will operate between Atherton train station, Leigh Bus Station and Leigh Sports Village on matchday.
Depending on traffic, the journey from Manchester to Leigh can take between 45 minutes and one hour.
Those driving to Leigh will have multiple car parking options to choose from, all within walking distance of the Leigh Sports Village. Car parks will be payable on the day and operate on a first come, first served basis.
The car parks at Pennington Flash, Spinning Gate and Leigh Miners offer over 1,500 spaces between them and all three are within a 15-minute walk of the venue. In addition, Doctors Nook, Leigh RUFC and Lord Street also offer parking and are all about a 20-minute walk from the stadium.
If you’re coming from Leigh Town Centre, it's a 15-minute walk to reach the stadium.
The walking route goes along a busy highway though, so take extra care at points where the pavement narrows. The route also goes through a residential area, so please be considerate, particularly for evening fixtures.
A taxi service from Manchester to Leigh will cost £30-40 one-way and will take between 30 minutes and one hour depending upon traffic.
