From Monday 14 February 2022, for up to seven days, Huddersfield Road, Diggle will be closed between Standedge Road and Spurn Lane.

The 184 and 356 will not serve Diggle during this period. A free shuttle bus will operate between Uppermill and Diggle, in a similar way to the previous long-term closure. Further details can be found below.

Bus

The closure will affect the following bus services:

  • 184 (towards Huddersfield) – will be diverted from Standedge Road/Huddersfield Road junction. It will continue along Standedge Road, turn right onto Huddersfield Road (A62) and continue onto Manchester Road (A62) to resume normal route.
  • 184 (towards Oldham) – From Manchester Road (A62) the service will continue onto Huddersfield Road (A62), turn left onto Standedge Road to resume normal route after Huddersfield Road junction.
  • 356 (towards Ashton) – From Sugar Lane the bus will divert onto Wool Road, omitting Diggle, before resuming its normal route.
  • 356 (towards Oldham) - From Wool Road the bus will divert onto Sugar Lane, omitting Diggle, before resuming its normal route.

A free shuttle bus will be in operation during this time.

Buses will observe stops along Huddersfield Road and operate Hail & Ride along Dorset Avenue and Sunfield Avenue.
