Latest Update: Friday 26th November

⚠️ Works have now begun and will continue until January 2022 on the following section of highway:

Liverpool Street, Salford between Albion Way and Oldfield Road.

The works involve the full reconstruction of the carriageway, footpaths and cycle lanes, this will also include upgrading of the signals and drainage.

Driving

From Monday 16 August there will be a westbound closure of Liverpool Street between Albion Way and Oldfield Road.

The one-way closure will be in place for drivers until January 2022 to allow construction of the Eastbound cycle lane.

The diversion route for this closure will be via Trinity Way, to Regent Road to Albion Way.

Cycling

The segregated cycle lanes will remain in place for the majority of the works, providing easy access to Manchester City Centre and Salford. The cycle lane connects to Salford University (via Chapel Street) and towards Manchester City Centre.

From Monday 16 August there will be a westbound closure of Liverpool Street between Albion Way and Oldfield Road.

The one-way closure will be in place for cyclists for six weeks to allow construction of the Eastbound cycle lane.
