Event celebrates life changing work

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham visited an event held to celebrate the impact of life changing public transport work.

The latest Greater Manchester Travel Training Forum (GMTTF) was held on Friday 7 December to enable trainees, their families and trainers to celebrate the positive impact the training has had on their lives.

During the event, Andy listened to speeches from those for whom the training has had a massive impact. That included 19-year-old England Blind Football player and Paralympic athlete Azeem Amir from Rochdale, who said that the skills taught to him during the training had been the springboard to his athletic achievements.
