Oldham coronavirus measures

Updated: 4pm Friday 21 August

Despite local efforts, rates of coronavirus infection remain high in Oldham and local restrictions are still in place.

People living in Oldham must not:

  • Socialise with anyone from outside their household, either within or outside Oldham. This means that social activities indoors and outdoors can only be shared with people that you live with and in your immediate household.

  • Use public transport except for essential travel. You must now only make trips that are absolutely necessary for work, school, to get supplies, to care for others or for medical reasons. Please drive, cycle or walk instead and only use public transport if you have no other option.

You must also remember to wear a face covering when using the public transport network, including at transport hubs and interchanges, unless you are exempt. If you don’t, you may be unable to travel and you could be fined £100.
