Heavy winds have brought down a tree on the Bury line, damaging a piece of equipment that holds up overhead power lines. As a result, there is currently no tram service between Bury and Whitefield.
Engineers are already on site, but due to the current conditions we expect it to take most of the weekend to repair. We're sorry for anyone whose journey is impacted.
Tram tickets and passes will continue to be accepted on local bus services (see below). Additionally, a replacement bus service will be in place tomorrow [Saturday] between Bury and Whitefield to help customers continue their journey. More information will be added shortly.
Ticket acceptance
There is ticket acceptance in place on the following bus services: 90, 95, 97, 98, 135, 512, 513 and 524. Simply show the driver your Metrolink ticket or pass when boarding.
