Transport for Greater Manchester does not advocate car sharing as a means of commuting at this time.
However, if this is your only way of getting to work, the current Government guidelines state the following:

  • Only one driver and passenger per vehicle;
  • Both parties must wear face coverings;
  • The passenger must sit in the back seat to the left of the driver with the window open.

Your business will be able to sign up as either a driver or passenger and encourage colleagues to build up a network of car sharers for their daily commute. Even car sharing once a week can help reduce congestion on our busy roads.
