Christmas across Greater Manchester

What’s happening

It may be pantomime season, but we want everyone to be singing from the same carol sheet as we enter another busy festive season.

Transport for Greater Manchester is advising people to plan their journeys over the Christmas period as there are a number of events across the region. From the Christmas lights switch on all the way to New Year’s Eve fireworks, the transport network will be busier than normal.

Journey times are likely to increase during the run up to New Year, so you should plan ahead if you are taking part in, spectating or travelling around the local area.

We have provided help and advice to keep your sled moving so you can prepare and minimise the impact on your Christmas travel and shopping trips.

There’s loads going on around greater Manchester over Christmas - Noel, our very own elf, has a cracking, interactive map with a selection of top venues and activities.

These pages will be continually updated during this time.
