Major Tram Disruption: East Didsbury and Manchester Airport Line Suspensions

Sunday 12 July

Due to an Overhead Line fault at St Werburgh's Road we currently have no services operating on the East Didsbury and Manchester Airport Lines

Tickets and passes are being accepted on local bus services, please see below to complete your journey

In addition, Northern Rail are also accepting tram tickets between the City Centre - East Didsbury and Manchester Airport

There is ticket acceptance on 15, 23, 25, 42, 42A, 43, 50, 85, 86, 101, 103, 111, 142, 143, 147, 171 and 172 bus services. Simply show the driver your Metrolink ticket or pass when boarding.

In addition to public transport, there are several destinations on this line that can be easily reached by walking.

Contactless

If you have paid using contactless, touch in at the tram stop at the start of your journey, and touch out at the end. Don’t touch in and out at the same stop – this won’t cancel your journey.

When boarding the bus, show your contactless card or device to the driver.

Call us on 0161 244 1000 if you’re not able to touch out – give it 24 hours for our systems to update, so we can see all touches on the smart readers.

There is ticket acceptance on the 23, 25, 41, 43, 85A, 101, 103, 248, 249 and 368 bus services. Simply show the driver your Metrolink ticket or pass when boarding.
