We caught up with Ashley, who is a Bus Station Supervisor at Altrincham Interchange.

What does a bus station supervisor do?

"My role involves looking after the facilities and making sure passengers are well looked after.

"No matter what the situation is with a passenger, we always help them with whatever they need on the network, to get them wherever they need to go to.

"On a day-to-day basis, we're making sure our customers are aware of disruptions, including any diversions that are in place, as well as providing support and helping with tickets."

What is your typical day like?

My duties include helping people onto the trams, onto the buses.

Make sure they have the tickets that they need, using the app or buying from the ticket office.

This includes helping people use tap and go or hopper tickets, and many other exciting things that we're doing together.

If a customer needs to find the right platform or the right stand, we guide them in the right direction.

Why does your role matter to you?

"I really enjoy my role as a Bus Station Supervisor.

"It makes me so happy to come in and enjoy what I'm doing. I really enjoy coming here to work and working with a team together.

"We have a great team and it's so good helping all the customers with whatever they need.

"And I really feel the benefit, as we're doing everything that we can."

"We love to work with the local community, the local charities, and do things together.

"This includes the local team at Altrincham in Bloom. They do planting on the station and also volunteer at the interchange as well, which is fantastic."

Why is good customer service important?

"Because we're putting our customers at heart and they're the most important people on our network to serve."

"One of our greatest achievements is looking after the local customers that come here.
