Meet Ichchha

Ichchha helps passengers get where they need to be

Because we want to make sure that our passengers know who they can go to if they need any help

We caught up with Ichchha, who is a Customer Service Assistant on the Bee Network.

You can read a transcript of our full chat with Ichchha below.

What does a customer services assistant do?

"We're here to answer any questions regarding the buses.

"We help people get where they need to go, helping with directions, bus times, enquiries, all that kind of stuff.

"We also help passengers with lost and found.

"If they need further help or have any concerns, we give them the e-mail and phone number for the Bee Network contact centre."

How do you help passengers when things go wrong?

"We try our best to keep them well informed about diversions.

"If there's disruptions that happen or if their bus is late, we'll try and find out why it’s late.

"We call the control centre and bus operators to see why they're late. And we also help out with any emergency situation that happens on Parker Street, and we'll call Greater Manchester Police or an ambulance if needed.

"We're here to do our best to help."

Why is good customer service important?

"Because we want to make sure that our passengers know who they can go to if they need any help.

"We're always on Parker Street in high vis. If they have any questions, any concerns, we're there.

"And obviously we want safe, accessible and reliable transport in Greater Manchester. Any feedback that they have is important to us."
