Bridge Street disruption

Due to a road traffic collision on Bridge Street in Manchester city centre, close to the junction of Cross Street, a road closure is in place between Deansgate/St Mary's Gate and Cross Street/Princess Street.

This closure is expected to remain in place until the evening.

Bus services will be diverted via Quay Street and Chapel Street and congestion is expected to increase as a result.

Please allow more time for your journey and if you are driving, please avoid the area.

The following bus services are affected: 8, 35, 36, 37, 38, 67A, 100, V1, V2 and Free Bus 1.

36: [Towards the city centre] - Services are diverting via Chapel Street, Trinity Way, Irwell Street, Quay Street, Peter Street, Portland Street and Princess Street to terminate at Stop SG.
