Manchester City Football Club Parade

Manchester City Football Club is an iconic global brand, partnering with TfGM as part of their treble winning celebrations in June 2023. They travelled on the tram from their civic reception at the Etihad to the start of their open top bus in the centre of Manchester. What a sustainable way to travel! 

The City stars enjoying themselves onboard was picked up by media outlets nationally and internationally including the BBC and Sky Sports, as well as being shared with MCFC’s 60 million social followers.


Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher & Beyond the Music

Liam Gallagher partnered with us, replacing the standard Metrolink tram announcements with his own distinctive voice to celebrate the launch of the Bee Network and to support ‘Beyond the Music’ Festival.

The activity was widely reported with local and national media including Sky News, NME, BBC and the Independent, with total reach estimated at 124 million – including 98 online articles published.

There were also over 680k impressions on X (formerly known as Twitter).

World Book Day

To celebrate World Book Day, we partnered with Manchester City Council and the National Literacy Trust to give away over 10,000 free books to Metrolink customers. The activity delivered books into people’s hands whilst also delivering social value and lots of positive sentiment.

The activity was covered extensively by the media including press, TV and online, reaching approximately 20.6 million in the 24-hour period. 

There were 11.2 million impressions from social media coverage with a significant amount of organic social content from customers who posted their own photos and experience of the day.
