Due to major engineering works taking place at Gledholt Tunnel, the railway between Stalybridge and Mirfield will be closed from Saturday 19 September to Sunday 4 October 2026.
Whilst works are on-going, there will be changes to train services between Greater Manchester, Huddersfield and Yorkshire.
If you're travelling between Greater Manchester and Yorkshire during the works, please allow extra time for your journeys, and check before travelling as some services will be diverted, cancelled or replaced by buses.
