Manchester Mega Mela

Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August

On Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August, Manchester Mega Mela returns to Platt Fields Park in Fallowfield with live music and dance perfomances, a large fun-fair, arts and crafts activities and stalls. This free event is an opportunity to celebrate South Asian culture with all the family.

Platt Fields Park is located in Fallowfield with good connections by bus from Manchester city centre and South Manchester.

Platt Fields Park is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Whitworth Park and 30 minutes’ walk from Longsight, Withington and Moss Side.

Manchester Mega Mela is easily accessible by bike, with cycle lanes running from the city centre and East Didsbury. Starling Bank Bikes are available to hire from spots around Fallowfield and the city centre.

Platt Fields Park is accessible by car, however limited parking will be available on site and it will be subject to a parking fee. The two car parks will be accessible via Platt lane and Grangethorpe Road.
