1. Who we are.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is committed to making sure that we tell you about the ways in which we use your personal information and that we have the right controls in place to make sure it is used responsibly and kept safe from inappropriate access, theft, or misuse.

All our surveyors conduct interviews in line with the Market Research Society (MRS) code of conduct. The full details of this code of conduct can be found on the MRS website.

This notice explains how we use your information and tells you about your privacy rights and how to law protects you.

2. Summary of the use of personal data for consultation and surveys

TfGM wants to understand travel patterns and people’s views on travel in the Rochdale - Castleton area.

The Mayor’s Challenge Fund (MCF) Castleton Phase 1 Scheme in Rochdale is a significant initiative aimed at enhancing local transport infrastructure and improving active travel options. The scheme includes the construction of new footpaths, segregated cycle lanes, upgraded junctions and crossing points, car parks, and a community play park. The scheme is part of the Bee Network initiative to transform the area into a safer and more accessible place for walking, wheeling, and cycling.

Findings from this survey will help us to understand levels of support for these improvements and the level of perceived benefit from members of the public in the local areas. It will also provide information to help us to refine and improve proposals for future schemes and understand any concerns or issues people have.

TfGM is the Data Controller for personal information collected in the survey. This means that we decide how your personal data is processed and for what purposes. SNAP Surveys are a data processor, only processing your personal data on TfGM's behalf.
