Summary of the use of personal data for consultation and surveys

TfGM wants to understand your walking, wheeling or cycling experiences at this location. The findings for this survey will help us to understand where future improvements can be made for walking, wheeling and cycling.

TfGM is the Data Controller for personal information collected in the survey. This means that we decide how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.

What information we will collect from you (the purpose and legal basis for processing information)

The survey will collect details of the journey you were making at the time of being handed the flyer and will also ask for your demographic details. This is to allow us to analyse whether certain demographical characteristics are common for the same views.

Demographic questions are optional and include:

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Health and disability
  • Ethnicity
  • Home postcode
  • Employment status
  • Postcode of start/end location

There is also a prize draw incentive for completing this survey. If you wish to take part, the survey will also ask for your contact information. For further information about how we handle personal data for competitions, please see our Competitions and Prize Draw Privacy Notice. Find out more.

We process personal information as the law requires us to, or as it’s needed to perform a public function.

For personal data captured on our surveys and consultations we may use:

  • Article (6)(1)(e) public task: the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.

For special category data we may use:

  • Article 9(2)(g) processing is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest.

This online survey can be accessed via a link from the TfGM website or via a QR code. Details of how to complete are provided on flyers, distributed to individuals. Survey data is collected via SNAP Survey software. SNAP Surveys is ISO 27001 certified. More information can be found here: https://www.snapsurveys.com/survey-software/privacy-policy-uk/
