If you are without natural speech, you may be eligible for a travel pass.
To be eligible for a travel pass, you will need to provide one of the following:
- Evidence that the applicant has Personal Independence Payment (PIP) where the award is for at least 8 points in the “communicating verbally” activity
- A letter from a medical professional that states the applicant is permanently without speech.
You will also need to provide the following:
- Proof the applicant's address is within Greater Manchester.
- A recent, good quality photograph showing the applicant’s full face without a hat.
Please ensure that you have all of the above eligibility criteria to hand before completing the application form.

Once the application form is completed it can be sent in either paper or digital format (via email). All supporting evidence must be sent with the application form.

Once your application is submitted we expect to process the outcome and inform you within 6 weeks. If we need any further information we will contact you on the details you have provided within the above stated 6 week period.
