To support school travel, we run school bus services across Greater Manchester.
All child tickets are valid on school services. That includes:
- Child single hopper ticket: £1. Buy from the driver or on the Bee Network app*.
- Child 7-day ticket: £10. Buy from the driver or on the Bee Network app*.
- Child 28-day ticket: £40. Available on the Bee Network app* and from Bee Network Information and Ticket Offices.
11-16 year olds must have an igo card to travel using a child ticket.
*For easy, safe and cash-free travel, buy bus child tickets on the Bee Network app. Buy as many bus tickets as you like in advance and use them when you travel.

TfGM school tickets
The following tickets are available to use on school bus services only and cannot be used on wider Bee Network bus services.
- Child single / return ticket: £1 single / £2 return available to buy from the driver on bus.
- TfGM school weekly ticket: This ticket costs £7.60 and is available to buy on the bus or at a Bee Network Information and Ticket Office. The ticket will be loaded onto your igo card.
- Carnet ticket (10 single trips): This ticket costs £10 and is available to buy on the bus or at a Bee Network Information and Ticket Office. The ticket will be loaded onto your igo card.
- Children aged between 11-16: Who do not have an igo pass will be charged the single (£1) or return (£2) fare but will not be able to buy a weekly ticket without an igo card.
- Students aged 16 and over (without a Scholar’s Permit or Our Pass): Pay adult fare (£2 single / £4 return).
- Students with a Scholar’s permit: Can pay £1 single / £2 return (but cannot buy the TfGM school weekly ticket).
Which services school bus only tickets be used on?
TfGM school return, weekly and carnet tickets are valid on the majority of school buses, with some exceptions. A full list of school bus services which accept these tickets is listed below.
