Metrolink Weekend Travelcard (Child)

Travel on any Metrolink tram from 6pm Friday evening until the last tram on Sunday night.

Do you qualify?

The age that children qualify for this travelcard depends on whether or not they have an igo pass.

Children get lower-cost travel for longer with an igo pass. They get cheaper fares on buses, and the pass is accepted as proof of age for cheaper tram tickets too.

  • from their 5th birthday to 31 August after their 16th birthday.

If they do not have an igo pass, they qualify:

  • from their 5th birthday to the day before their 16th birthday.

From aged 11 children must carry proof of their age when using this travelcard, their igo pass can be usedif they have one. If they do not have an igo pass, they must carry official ID with a photograph and their date of birth.
