On Friday 29 May, the annual band contest returns to eleven villages in Saddleworth and Oldham.
The Saddleworth and Oldham Whit Friday Band Contests are a vibrant highlight of the calendar year, proudly supported by Oldham Council for many years as this much-loved tradition continues to flourish and grow.
Described as the "Greatest Free Show on Earth", the Whit Friday contests truly put Oldham on the map as a destination for culture, music and celebration.
There are eleven villages in the Saddleworth and Oldham Whit Friday Brass Band Contests and each one of those offers a unique experience.
