Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) provides a service to arrange temporary bus stop suspensions required to support highway works, footway works, utility activities, or any other operations that necessitate the temporary closure of bus stops within Greater Manchester.
The scheme is managed by Facilities Management and supported by other functional areas of the authority and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to protect against reputational and financial loss whilst ensuring transparency and accountability.

Conditions
*£365 + VAT is the charge applied per stop for up to a maximum of 4 stops. (4 x £365 then £125 per stop for every stop thereafter when part of the same work instruction)
**A closure of a bus stop is £365 + VAT and this includes the closure of the opposite stop only if required.
***Public Holidays are defined as: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, Spring Bank Holiday, Summer Bank Holiday & New Year’s Day. The uplifted charge for public holidays only applies to work undertaken on a public holiday i.e. suspension or reinstatement of bus stop.
