NSPPD United Kingdom Prayer Conference

The NSPPD UK Prayer Conference will take place at Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United, on Saturday 26 September 2026.

50,000 visitors will attend the event, so it's important you plan ahead and how you will travel to the stadium.

Turnstiles open at 10am with the event beginning at 1pm. The event is expected to finish between 6pm and 7pm.

Key Advice

Old Trafford can be easily reached from the city centre via tram, with two stops (Old Trafford and Wharfside) within walking distance of the venue.
The venue can also be easily reached by bus with several routes connecting the city centre to Old Trafford.
After the event, 15 shuttle buses will operate back to the city centre from Chester Road, outside the Ford garage at the junction with Throstles Green.

Travel by tram

The venue can be reached from the city centre and other parts of Greater Manchester by tram.

There are two stops within easy walking distance of the ground:

Old Trafford 12 minutes' walk from the venue: Board an Altrincham service at stops in the city centre between Piccadilly and Cornbrook, or between Victoria and Cornbrook.
Wharfside 8 minutes' walk from the venue: Board a Trafford Centre service at stops in the city centre between Victoria and Cornbrook.

Tram tickets

For the quickest way to travel, tap-in (when you start your journey) and out (at the last stop) using the on-stop yellow machines using contactless. We'll then work out the correct fare for you.

Every Metrolink stop is in a ticket zone. There are four ticket zones, with zone 1 covering stops in the city centre and zone 4 covering stops furthest away from the city centre. Both Old Trafford and Wharfside, nearest the ground, are in Zone 2. A 1-day anytime travelcard from Manchester city centre costs £4.30 for an adult. Further information can be found on our

Travel by train

The ground is also only a short Metrolink ride (20 minutes) from Piccadilly Station in the city centre.

From Manchester Piccadilly: Please board an Altrincham tram and get off Old Trafford. For tram services, just take the stairs down from the main concourse area at Piccadilly Station.
From Victoria: Please board a Trafford Centre tram and get off at Wharfside.
From Oxford Road: Please board an Altrincham or Trafford Centre bound tram from Deansgate-Castlefield to Old Trafford (Altrincham line) or Wharfside (Trafford Centre line).

Please note that on some maps of the area, it depicts an Old Trafford train station. This is no longer in use, but the nearby Old Trafford tram stop provides links to all corners of Greater Manchester. Please see the information above for details.

Travel by bus

Following the event, 15 post-match shuttle bus services will operate as a 'load and go' service starting from Chester Road, outside the Ford garage at the junction with Throstles Green.

The buses will travel directly to the city centre and customers will alight at Deansgate-Castlefield, Portland Street and Piccadilly Gardens.

Tickets are £2 and can be bought from the driver.

Travel by car

If you are travelling from the west side of Manchester, plan an additional 20 minutes into any journey by road.

If you are travelling from the east side of Manchester, along the Mancunian Way, expect an additional 15 minutes to your journey.

The quickest route to the official car parks is via Parkway and Wharfside Way (M60 Junction 9).

Road closures will be in place from 9am and again before the event finishes to allow crowds to safely depart the venue.

Cycling and walking routes

Whether you decide to walk for a full or partial journey, you can beat the queues, see more of your city and make a positive choice for the environment by walking to Old Trafford.

Visit the Bee Active website to take a look at what'w within a 15-minute walk of Old Trafford. This includes tram stops for those that would like to combine walking with Metrolink travel. Just type the postcode 'M16 0RA' for the Old Trafford, so that you may consider making a change to your travel habits.

With a network of cycle lanes around the stadium, make cycling your top choice for getting to and from the venue.

Old Trafford provide free cycle racks at the following car parks:

N2 (Sir Alex Ferguson Stand)
E2 (East Stand)
W2 (West Stand)

To secure your bike, make sure you take your own bike lock with you.
