Getting to Salford Community Stadium

The nearest tram stop to the ground is Trafford Centre (Trafford Park line), which is a 20 minute walk away.

Eccles stop (Eccles line) is also nearby, and you can walk to the ground within 35 minutes.

Services operate to a 12-minute frequency on both Trafford Park and Eccles lines starting from approximately 6am to midnight Monday to Sunday. It is possible to board either service from Deansgate-Castlefield in the city centre.

Metrolink are constantly improving the network for customers. Make sure you check the Metrolink planned improvements webpage before you travel to see if any works will affect your route.

Park and Ride

If you have to drive, did you know that there are 24 Park and Ride sites in Greater Manchester, where you can park your car for free and hop on the tram to your destination? The nearest Park and Ride sites to the Salford Community Stadium are:

Ladywell (Eccles line) - 332 spaces and 22 disabled spaces - 2-minute direct service to Eccles
Parkway (Trafford Park line) - 341 spaces and 19 disabled spaces - 5-minute direct service to Trafford Centre.

Tickets

Beat the queue at the machines and touch-in and out at the on-stop machines using contactless Save money and travel with the family using our family travelcard. Remember, this is only available on the on-stop ticket machines. All Metrolink stops close to the Salford Community Stadium are in Zone 2 and 3.

Congestion on the roads close to Salford Community Stadium will start to build from around two hours before each match as fans start to make their way to the ground.

If travelling from the motorway, the stadium is located in Barton, just off junction 11 of the M60. There is a signposted route from the motorway via Liverpool Road and Salford Western Gateway onto Stadium Way. Traffic along this road will be busier than usual on match days.

Match day car parking

There is very limited parking at Salford Community Stadium. However, there are a range of off-site parking locations within walking distance of the ground (parking charges may vary, dependent on location).

Accessible parking can be purchased in advance via the Salford Red Devils website and costs £10.

If you are intending to catch a bus to or from Salford Community Stadium, the following Bee Network bus services will bring you closest to the ground – 10, 67, 67A, 100.

Journey times could also be impacted due to the increased levels of traffic, so be sure to plan ahead and allow extra time for your travel.

Salford Red Devils Shuttle Bus

Salford Red Devils offer a shuttle bus between Salford Community Stadium and the Trafford Centre for all Salford Red Devil fixtures.

Adult: £2 single or £3 return
U16: £1 single or £1.50 return
Concessions travel is free.

Tickets

The Bee Bus single ‘hopper’ ticket costs £2 for adults and £1 for children. You can only buy this ticket on the bus.

Use this ticket for a single trip and you can then use the hopper ticket to travel on other Bee Network buses, for no additional cost, within 60 minutes of buying your ticket.

Just keep hold of your paper ticket and scan the QR code on your next bus.

Cycle parking

There are 14 double-sided bike racks at Salford Community stadium and you must bring your own lock for your bike.

If you're cycling to the ground via MediaCityUK, this is where TfGM's nearest Cycle Hub is located. Providing safe cycle parking with CCTV in operation, more information on how to use a cycle hub can be found on the Bee Active website.

Cycle hire

Greater Manchester now offers the option to hire bikes. Through the Beryl app, you can locate and unlock your bike, get from A to B, then safely lock your hired bike up again - easy!
