Getting to The Brit Fest

The Brit Fest returns to Ashley Hall in Altrincham from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 July.

Festival music arena doors open at 6pm on Thursday 2 July and 12pm on the 3, 4 and 5 July.

Travel by tram

Ashley Hall Showground is located two miles from Altrincham Interchange, which is well served by tram.

For Altrincham, you can hop onboard the Altrincham - Etihad Campus (every 15 minutes, every day) or the Altrincham - Bury via Market Street (Monday to Saturday, peak times only). During peak times, trams will operate every 7.5 minutes between the city centre and Altrincham.

The service connects you directly to key city centre destinations such as Piccadilly and provides easy access to all 99 stops on the network across Greater Manchester.

Metrolink are constantly improving the network for customers. Make sure you check the tram planned improvements webpage before you travel to see if any works will affect your route.

If you have to drive, did you know that there are 24 park and ride sites in Greater Manchester, where you can park your car for free and hop on the tram to your destination? The nearest park and ride sites to the Brit Fest are:

Brooklands (Altrincham line) - 84 spaces - 7 minutes direct service to Altrincham Interchange.
Navigation Road (Altrincham line) - 66 spaces and 5 disabled spaces - 3 minutes direct service to Altrincham Interchange.

Beat the queue at the machines and tap-in and out at the on-stop machines using contactless.

Save money and travel with the family using our family travelcard. Remember, this is only available on the on-stop ticket machines.

Altrincham tram stop is located in Zone 4. A 1-day off-peak travelcard from Manchester city centre costs £4.90 for an adult or £7.30 for a family. Further information can be found on our tram ticket price webpage.

Travel by bus

There will be three free shuttle buses operating to the event site.

To use the shuttle bus, just show the driver your event ticket.

From the Delta Hotels Manchester Airport

If you are intending to catch a bus to or from The Brit Fest, the following Bee Network bus service brings you close to the venue:

Along Ashley Road - an 18-minute walk from the venue

Travel by train

Ashley Train Station is a 15-minute walk away from the showground.

An hourly service operates to Ashley rail station from both Manchester/Chester on Monday to Saturday, with a 2-hourly service on a Sunday.

Remember to plan your journey in advance of your trip by checking with your operator or on the National Rail website.

Travel by car

If you're driving to the venue, event-goers are encouraged to pre-book parking with the event organiser to secure a space.

Travelling on the motorway from the East/West - exit the M56 at Junction 7 for a 5-minute drive to the ground.
Travelling on the motorway from the North/South - exit the M60 at Junction 20, follow signs for M56 towards Manchester Airport, and exit the M56 at Junction 7 for a short drive.
Travelling on nearby A roads - The showground can be reached via A50 and A56 routes.

Congestion is likely on roads near the venue, so please allow more time for your journey.

On-site car parking is available but must be bought in advance. Parking passes can be purchased through the event website, so don’t forget to book ahead to secure your space.

Accessibility on the bus

Many buses have ramps and can accommodate wheelchairs. Some new buses also have display screens, route numbers, destination displays and audio-visual ‘next stop’ announcements.

A lot of bus operators have low floor buses to make it easier for people who use wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and those with small children and pushchairs.
