From Saturday 22 June to Tuesday 9 July, work will take place on London Road - close to Piccadilly Station.
During this time, no trams will operate between Piccadilly and Piccadilly Gardens.
Trams on the Ashton line will operate between Ashton and Piccadilly Station – passengers wanting to make an onward journey will need to connect with other tram services at Piccadilly Gardens.
Trams on the Altrincham/Bury lines will not be serving Piccadilly and will instead travel directly between Altrincham and Bury.
A signed walking route, taking around five minutes, will be put in place between the two stops and a bus replacement service will operate between Piccadilly and Piccadilly Gardens.
Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journeys while these essential Metrolink renewal works takes place.

- Piccadilly Gardens – MediaCityUK (peak-time only)
- Rochdale Town Centre – East Didsbury
- Shaw & Crompton – East Didsbury (peak-time only)
- Manchester Airport – Victoria
- Trafford Centre – Deansgate-Castlefield
Services will operate every 12 minutes.
Sundays
- Bury – Altrincham
- Ashton-Under-Lyne – Piccadilly
- Piccadilly Gardens – Eccles (via MediaCityUK)
- Rochdale Town Centre – East Didsbury
- Manchester Airport – Victoria
- Trafford Centre – Deansgate-Castlefield
Services will operate every 15 minutes.
Impact to other modes of transport
London Road will be closed to traffic where the Metrolink tracks cross the street close to Piccadilly Station. A diversion will be in place and all traffic heading away from the city centre towards the Mancunian Way will divert via Store Street – Sheffield Street – St Andrew's Street and Fairfield Street.
Cyclists will also be required to follow the signed diversion route or dismount and follow pedestrian routes.
Journey times in the area are expected to increase, so please plan ahead and allow additional time for travel.
