From Monday 21 to Saturday 26 September, improvement works will take place in the city centre near Market Street. During this time, no trams will operate via Market Street and Shudehill. Customers may need to change trams, take a short walk or hop on the free bus to continue their journey. Outside of free bus operating times, a replacement bus will operate between Piccadilly and Victoria.

Essential improvement works will be taking place at Prestwich Metrolink stop. Tram services will not be affected however, there may be an increased presence of staff at this stop during this time.

The lift at Queens Road tram stop is currently out of service.

The lift at Failsworth, on the platform heading to East Didsbury, is currently out of service. The lift at Failsworth, on the platform heading to Rochdale, is currently out of service whilst lift replacment works take place. There is currently no step-free access at this stop, passengers should make their way to Hollinwood to connect to services. The escalator to exit Manchester Airport Metrolink stop is currently out of service. Please use the steps or follow the signage for the lift from platform level to the Airport.

The lift at Derker tram stop is currently out of service.

For customers travelling towards Manchester, step-free access is via a ramp from Cromford Street straight to the Manchester bound platform.

For customers travelling away from Manchester, step-free access is via a ramp from Cromford Street and use the track crossing to access the Rochdale bound platform.

The lift at Sale tram stop is currently out of service. The lift on the Bury-bound platform at Heaton Park will be replaced with works taking place from Wednesday 29 July 2026. During this time, the lift will be out of service.
