You are more likely to choose to catch the train if you are wanting to travel to either the Peel Park or Frederick Road campuses. If you would like to travel to the MediaCityUK campus, please note that it is approximately a 30 minute walk from the Salford stations.
Salford Crescent train station is on campus and it only takes a few minutes to walk to. From here, you can catch trains to local destinations such as Blackpool North, the main Manchester stations, Bolton and Manchester Airport.
Salford Central station is approximately a 15 minute walk from the Peel Park campus, where you can catch trains to local destinations.
There are many lanes, paths and routes around the city which make cycling a great choice to get from A to B - for your pocket and for the planet.
Cycling
There are a number of Bee Network cycle schemes on main university commuter routes. Whether you're close to the Fallowfield loop or the Wilmslow Road cycleway, visit the Bee Active website where you can browse the schemes that have been completed and that are in development.

Walking
Information is available on the Bee Active website to help you get into the habit of walking, and choosing to walk as a way to commute. You can find walking maps as well as hints and tips on our dedicated walking pages.
The best place to find the ticket or pass that is right for you is the ticket finder tool on our website. There, you can tailor the options to find the best ticket to get you from A to Bee.

Accessibility on Metrolink
Metrolink is a modern system with a range of accessibility features. All Metrolink trams and tram stops are accessible for wheelchair users.
Every tram stop has:
- A ramp, lift, or escalator - for the latest service updates for lifts and escalators at your stop, visit our dedicated webpage.
- Step-free access for wheelchair users and people with pushchairs
- CCTV and emergency call-points
- platforms with tactile edges for visually impaired passengers.

- Space for pushchairs
- Seats marked for people who have trouble standing
- Emergency call points.

Accessibility on the bus
Many buses have ramps and can accommodate wheelchairs. Some new buses also have display screens, route numbers, destination displays and audio-visual ‘next stop’ announcements.
A lot of bus operators have low floor buses to make it easier for people who use wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and those with small children and pushchairs.
