Manchester's Christmas Parade

Sunday 8 December at 1pm

Manchester’s spectacular Christmas Parade is back – bigger and better than ever.

To get everyone into the Christmas spirit, there will be live music, mistletoe dancing mice, Christmas horse-riding Elves on stilts, an oversized Polar Bear and so much more.

You can also catch the Elf Express. A spectacular train with carriages full of elves that will be making a special stop in Santa's favourite city on its way to Santa's workshop in the North Pole.

This year's Manchester Christmas Parade will start at 1pm and follow a longer route that starts and ends at Manchester Cathedral. Please see below for the route map and further details.

Route details

The parade will set off at 1pm from Manchester Cathedral on a circular route, travelling from Victoria Street along Deansgate, right onto John Dalton Street, left onto Cross Street, left onto Market Street along St Mary's Gate, right onto Deansgate back to Victoria Street and Manchester Cathedral.

To ensure that the parade can pass safely through the streets of Manchester, tram services will not stop at Exchange Square between 12pm and 2.30pm. Trams will instead divert via Market Street and Shudehill.
