Until autumn 2024, carriageway redesign works will take place on Kingsway, between Chester Road and Barton Road.
The closure will impact traffic on the A56 Chester Road and major events taking place in the nearby area.

From Wednesday 24 May, a westbound closure will be in place on Kingsway between Chester Road and Barton Road. Kingsway will be one way for eastbound traffic only.
Diversions
- Southbound traffic travelling down Barton Road and eastbound traffic travelling from Urmston Lane will be diverted via Barton Road and A56 Chester Road.
- Northbound traffic on Barton Road will be diverted via Barton Road, Park Road, Derbyshire Lane, Chester Road northbound, White City Circle and Chester Road southbound.
From Tuesday 23 May , the 15, 23, 25, 79, 150, 245, 253, 255 and 256 bus services and school bus 766 will run on a diversion.
Both Stretford Arndale Stop A and Stretford Arndale Stop B will be closed.
