From Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 February, Network Rail will carry out rail renewal works at Manchester Piccadilly train station, During this time, there will be a heavily reduced train service operating from Platforms 13 & 14 only, with no rail connections to the south and east of the city.
Tram services will continue to operate as normal, serving Piccadilly throughout the period of works.

Events taking place during the works
Travelling from South/East Manchester
During the works, most long-distance rail services from destinations including London, Birmingham and Sheffield will terminate at Stockport.
There will be no rail services between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport, Stockport, Rose Hill Marple (via Bredbury), or Guide Bridge.
Travelling from North/West Manchester
During the works, rail services from destinations including North Wales, Chester, Liverpool, Warrigton Central, Preston and Bolton will terminate at Manchester Oxford Road.
Only three trains per hour (from Blackpool North & Liverpool) will terminate at Manchester Piccadilly.
