Travel by tram to The Trafford Palazzo

Travel in style on Metrolink. The Trafford Centre is on the Trafford Park line and there are trams running on a 15-minute frequency from Crumpsall right to the centre (the Trafford Centre stop is right next to the doors of Selfridges).

If you have to drive, did you know that there are 24 park and ride sites in Greater Manchester, where you can park your car for free and hop on the tram to your destination? The nearest Park and Ride site is:

Parkway Park and Ride is only a couple of stops away from The Trafford Centre. Leave the car for free and hop on the tram to beat some of the congestion on the roads.

There are several Park and Ride sites across Greater Manchester where you can leave your car for free, jump on the tram and connect to the Trafford Park line (connecting at Cornbrook).

Beat the queue at the machines and tap-in and out at the on-stop machines using contactless.

Save money and travel with the family using our family travelcard. Remember, this is only available on the on-stop ticket machines.

Travel on Bee Network buses

The Trafford Centre has its own on-site bus station, with connecting services to all corners of Greater Manchester. The bus station webpage lists the station information, all the services available, and there is also a handy live departure board on the webpage to help you on your way.

Some buses that serve the Trafford Centre are listed below, but you can also search for your service number and select your direction of travel on our dedicated bus webpage.

To/from the north: 20, 21, 22, X22.

To/from the south: 23, 25, 245 and 248.

To/from the east: 52 and 150.

To/from the west: 100, 126, 132, 247.

To/from Manchester city centre: 250 and X50.

The Bee Bus single ‘hopper’ ticket costs £2 for adults and £1 for children. You can only buy this ticket on the bus.

Use this ticket for a single trip and you can then use the hopper ticket to travel on other Bee Network buses, for no additional cost, within 60 minutes of buying your ticket.

Just keep hold of your paper ticket and scan the QR code on your next bus.

Travel by train

The Trafford Palazzo is a short tram journey from nearby train stations such as Manchester Piccadilly, Victoria and Oxford Road.

From Manchester Piccadilly: Please board an Altrincham or Eccles tram and get off at St Peter's Square, then board the Trafford Centre tram.
From Victoria: Please board The Trafford Centre tram.
From Oxford Road: Take a short walk to St Peter's Square and board the TGrafford Centre tram.

Remember to plan your journey in advance of your trip by checking with your operator or on the National Rail website.

Travel by car

If you have to drive to the Trafford Centre, it is likely that the roads around Trafford Park, Redclyffe Circle (off junction 10 of M60) and Lostock Circle (off junction 9 of M60) will be busy between 1pm and 6pm on Saturdays, and between 1pm and 5pm on Sundays.

If you can travel outside of these busy periods, you may find that not only the roads are quieter, but on-site parking may be easier to find too.

Accessibility on the bus

Many buses have ramps and can accommodate wheelchairs. Some new buses also have display screens, route numbers, destination displays and audio-visual ‘next stop’ announcements.

A lot of bus operators have low floor buses to make it easier for people who use wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and those with small children and pushchairs.
