The Toughsheet Community Stadium is located approximately 200 metres, around a 10-minute walk, from Horwich Parkway rail station.
Trains regularly run from Blackpool and Preston if travelling from the north, and Manchester and Bolton if travelling from the south.

Travel by train to the Toughsheet Community Stadium

Horwich Parkway rail station is around a 10-minute walk from the Toughsheet Community Stadium, making rail one of the easiest ways to travel to the stadium.

The station is served by regular services from Bolton, Manchester and Preston, with connections to destinations across the north-west.

If travelling from Horwich Parkway post-match, allow extra time to reach the station and for your journey as it can be busy when large numbers of people leave the stadium.

Travel by bus to the Toughsheet Community Stadium

Bee Network bus services stop close to the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

Journey times may be longer than usual on event days due to increased traffic around the stadium. Plan ahead using our journey planner and allow extra time for your journey.

Single 'hopper' ticket

The Bee Bus single ‘hopper’ ticket costs £2 for adults and £1 for children. You can only buy this ticket on the bus.

Use this ticket for a single trip and you can then use the hopper ticket to travel on other Bee Network buses, for no additional cost, within 60 minutes of buying your ticket.

Just keep hold of your paper ticket and scan the QR code on your next bus.

1-day Bee Bus ticket

A 1-day Bee Bus ticket costs £2.50 for children and £5 for adults.

Customers can pay for their journey using cash or card by asking the driver of a Bee Network bus for a 1-day Bee Bus ticket (child or adult), which is valid until 3.59am the following day.

This ticket is also available on the Bee Network app.

Please note: Children aged 11-16 will need an igo card to buy this ticket. Under 5s travel free.

1-day Bee Bus Family ticket

A 1-day Bee Bus family (off-peak) ticket costs £9.

The ticket allows a family one day's unlimited travel on Bee Network buses after 9.30am on weekdays and all day at weekends and bank holidays.

The family ticket can be used by a group of one to three children accompanied by one or two adults when travelling together.

Children travelling as part of a family group must be aged under 16 and, if aged 11 to 15, will need proof of age ID.
An igo card allows children to qualify for longer, up to 31 August after their 16th birthday.

There is no minimum age for children travelling on a family ticket.

Travel by car to the Toughsheet Community Stadium

The Toughsheet Community Stadium is located just off the M61 at Junction 6.

On matchdays, roads around the stadium and Middlebrook can become busy, particularly before kick-off and post-match. Allow extra time for your journey and consider using public transport where possible.

For journeys from the north

Follow the M61 towards Bolton/Manchester and exit at Junction 6. Follow the signs for the Toughsheet Community Stadium and take the first exit off the roundabout onto the A6027, De Havilland Way. At the next roundabout, take a left turn onto Burnden Way and the stadium is located on the right.

For journeys from the south

Follow the M61 towards Preston and exit at Junction 6. Follow the signs for the Toughsheet Community Stadium and take the third exit off the roundabout onto the A6027, De Havilland Way. At the next roundabout, take a left turn onto Burnden Way and the stadium is located on the right.

Parking is available at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, with car parks operating on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking at the Toughsheet Community Stadium is cashless.

Cycling and walking routes

Cycling

Cycling can be a convenient way to avoid congestion around the stadium on matchdays. There are 18 cycle stands available at Horwich Parkway rail station. You can leave your bike at the cycle stands at the rail station and take the 10-minute walk to the stadium from the station.

After parking your bike, walk down Arena Approach and cross Burnden Way to arrive at the stadium.
